What counts as a long distance move

Any move that crosses a state line is an interstate move, and it is regulated differently from a local one. Local jobs are usually priced by the hour. Interstate jobs are priced on the weight or volume of your shipment and the distance it travels, which is why an accurate inventory up front matters so much. If we can see what you own, we can price the truck space and the crew correctly, and the number we give you holds.

How we price it

Three things drive the cost: how much you are moving, how far it is going, and how hard it is to get in and out at both ends. Stairs, long carries, elevator bookings and tight streets all add labour. That is why the request form asks about floors and access — it is not busywork, it is the difference between a quote that holds and one that moves on the day.

Delivery windows, explained honestly

On a long haul your shipment usually travels with others going the same direction, so delivery is a window rather than a single promised hour. We tell you the window before you accept, and you can follow progress in your portal instead of calling for updates.

What you should photograph

Every room, plus the places people forget: garage, attic, basement, closets, the shed, and anything on a patio or balcony. Open the closets. If it is going on the truck, it should be in a photo. Anything we cannot see is the single most common source of a price change later.
